This Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy explains how returns and refunds are handled for orders placed through Watches Why Not.

This policy applies to customers in the United Kingdom.

We accept returns for both defective and non-defective products, subject to the conditions below.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.


1. Return window

You may return eligible products within 14 days of delivery.

The 14-day return period starts on the day after your order is delivered to you, or to someone nominated by you to receive the order.

If your order is delivered in multiple parcels, the return period starts from the day after the final parcel is delivered.

Returns requested after the 14-day return window may be refused unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or your statutory rights apply.


2. Products accepted for return

We accept returns for:


defective products;


non-defective products;


incorrect items;


damaged items;


unwanted items;


items that are not as described.

Returned products must be in new or slightly used condition.

For watches and accessories, “new or slightly used condition” means the item may have been handled or briefly tried on, but must not be heavily worn, damaged, altered, or missing important parts.


3. Product condition requirements

To qualify for a return, the item should be returned with all original items supplied, where possible, including:


watch box;


outer packaging;


warranty card;


instruction manual;


certificates or authenticity documents, if supplied;


spare links;


tags;


protective packaging;


accessories included with the order.

Items must not be returned in a condition that shows unreasonable use, damage, misuse, or alteration.

We may refuse a return or reduce the refund if:


the product is damaged after delivery;


the product has been heavily worn;


the watch has deep scratches, dents, cracks, or impact damage;


the strap or bracelet is excessively worn, stained, damaged, or altered;


bracelet links have been removed and not returned;


serial numbers, tags, or identifying marks have been removed or altered;


the item has been repaired, opened, resized, engraved, customised, or modified;


accessories, documents, packaging, or parts are missing;


the item has been damaged by water, chemicals, perfume, sweat, impact, misuse, or improper care.

You may inspect and try the item as reasonably necessary, but the item must remain suitable for return.


4. Defective products

If your product is defective, faulty, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or not as described, contact us as soon as possible.

If the product is confirmed to be defective or incorrect, we will provide a suitable remedy, which may include a refund, repair, replacement, or another solution depending on the issue and your legal rights.


5. Non-defective product returns

We also accept returns for non-defective products within 14 days of delivery.

This includes situations where:


you changed your mind;


you ordered the wrong item;


the item does not suit you;


you no longer want the product.

The item must be returned in new or slightly used condition and must meet the condition requirements in this policy.


6. Return method

Returns are accepted by mail only.

To return an item:


Locate the return label included in your package.


Package the item securely.


Include all original accessories, documents, boxes, and packaging where possible.


Attach the return label to the parcel.


Send the parcel back using the return method shown on the label.


Keep your proof of postage until your refund has been processed.

Do not return items without using the correct return label or return instructions, as this may delay your refund.


7. Return label

A return label is included in the package.

The return label is provided free of charge.

You will not be charged for using the included return label.

We will provide return instructions or a replacement label where appropriate.


8. Return shipping fees

Return shipping is free when you use the return label included in your package.

We do not charge customers for return postage when the included return label is used correctly.

If you choose to return the item using your own postage method instead of the provided return label, you may be responsible for that cost unless we agree otherwise in writing.


9. Restocking fees

We do not charge restocking fees.

There is no restocking fee for defective or non-defective returns.

However, we may reduce the refund if the returned item is damaged, incomplete, heavily used, altered, or returned in a condition that reduces its value beyond reasonable inspection or slight use.


10. Exchanges

We do not accept exchanges.

If you want a different item, you should return your original item for a refund and place a new order separately.

This helps us process returns clearly and ensures stock availability is handled correctly.


11. Refund processing time

Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds are processed within 4 days.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

After we process the refund, your bank, card provider, or payment provider may take additional time to show the refund in your account.

We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, or payment providers.


12. Refund amount

If your return is approved, we will refund the amount paid for the returned product.

If you return your full order, any standard delivery charge paid may also be refunded where required by law.

If you paid for an upgraded, express, premium, or special delivery option, we may only refund the standard delivery amount where applicable.

If only part of an order is returned, delivery charges may not be refunded unless required by law.


13. Items not eligible for return

We may refuse returns for:


items returned after the 14-day return window, unless your statutory rights apply;


items damaged by the customer;


items showing excessive wear;


items altered, repaired, engraved, customised, resized, or modified after delivery;


items missing essential parts, accessories, documents, or packaging;


items with removed or altered serial numbers;


items damaged by water, impact, chemicals, misuse, neglect, or improper care;


items not purchased from Watches Why Not.

This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described.


14. Watches and accessories

For watches, the following must be returned where supplied:


the watch;


watch box;


warranty card;


instruction booklet;


certificates;


spare links;


tags;


protective packaging;


accessories;


any free gifts included with the order.

Watches may be tried on, but they must not be heavily worn, damaged, altered, or returned incomplete.

If the watch shows signs of unreasonable use, such as deep scratches, dents, missing links, damaged strap, water damage, or unauthorised repair, we may reduce the refund or refuse the return.


15. Damaged or incorrect items on arrival

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect, or incomplete, contact us promptly.

Please do not continue using the item.

Send us clear photos or videos showing the issue, along with photos of the packaging.

We may request that the item is returned using the included return label before issuing a refund.

If the issue is confirmed, you will not be charged for the return.


16. Orders refused or not collected

If an order is refused on delivery, not collected from a delivery point, or returned to us by the courier, we will review the returned parcel once it arrives back.

If the item is returned to us in acceptable condition, we may issue a refund.

If return costs, courier fees, failed delivery charges, or other costs are incurred due to customer error, refusal, or failure to collect, these may be deducted from the refund where allowed by law.


17. Incorrect delivery address

You are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address.

If you provide an incorrect or incomplete address and the parcel is delivered to that address, we may not be able to refund or replace the order.

If the parcel is returned to us, we may refund the order once received, subject to the condition of the returned item.


18. Promotional discounts, bundles, and free gifts

If you return an item purchased with a discount code or promotion, your refund will be based on the amount actually paid.

If your order included a free gift, promotional item, or bundle item, it must also be returned unless we agree otherwise.

If a required free gift or bundle item is not returned, we may deduct its value from your refund.
